Senator Graig Meyer is retiring. I want to be your next State Senator, and I need your support.
Yesterday, State Senator Graig Meyer announced he was stepping down from his role serving Caswell, Orange, and Person counties in Raleigh to take a new job as the Executive Director of the North Carolina Justice Center.
During his tenure in the legislature, Graig has put an enormous amount of energy into fighting for better policy from Raleigh and rebuilding Democratic power across this state. He brought creative, vocal leadership to the job of representing Caswell, Orange, and Person Counties. I am grateful for his friendship over the years, and for the work we’ve shared trying to make this state a place where everyone can live a good life and thrive. I believe he will do great things at the North Carolina Justice Center, which for more than 30 years, has advanced policy solutions around education, health, workers rights, immigrant and refugee rights, criminal justice, and housing. I’m excited to support him as he continues that work.
Which brings me to my news:
I’m seeking the appointment to be your next State Senator in Senate District 23, joining Reps. Allen Buansi and Renée Price in our county’s delegation to Raleigh.
